Isuzu 6HK1 Tier 4 Final Engine: This 7.8L engine is a massive upgrade in torque-to-fuel efficiency. For 2023, it delivers 265 hp and features a SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system that significantly reduces DEF consumption compared to the previous Generation 10 models.
Independent Travel: A standout Kobelco hallmark, this dedicated pump system allows the machine to travel and lift/swing simultaneously without losing power or speed in either function. This eliminates the “stutter” often felt when moving while carrying a load.
Enhanced Hydraulic Efficiency: The Gen-11 utilizes a brand-new hydraulic control valve that reduces energy loss. By smoothing out the oil flow paths, Kobelco managed to increase digging force while lowering fuel consumption in “S-mode” by approximately 10% over its predecessor.
Power Boost on Demand: Unlike some systems that time out, Kobelco’s Power Boost provides an instantaneous 10% increase in digging force with no time limit, allowing operators to power through stubborn rock or heavy clay without interruption.
Superior Swing Torque: The swing system has been beefed up for better slope performance. It offers high-output swing torque that ensures the upper structure remains stable and powerful when swinging uphill or backfilling heavy material.
Grammer Air-Suspension Seat: This isn’t your standard seat; it’s a heated, premium air-ride throne designed to absorb the high-frequency vibrations typical of 30-ton excavators. It moves in tandem with the joysticks to prevent arm fatigue.
10-Inch Color Monitor & Jog Dial: The largest in its class, this high-definition screen acts as the machine’s “brain.” It features a jog-dial navigation system (similar to high-end cars) so the operator can adjust flow rates for up to 20 different attachments without taking their eyes off the work.
Eagle Eye 270° Camera: A standard 3-camera system provides a “bird’s-eye view” of the machine’s perimeter. For 2023, it includes an integrated blind-spot alert that visually and audibly warns the operator if ground personnel enter the swing radius.
Large-Scale Maintenance Access: Kobelco designed the SK300LC-11 with a “ground-up” service approach. All filters (fuel, engine oil, and hydraulic) are clustered behind large side-access doors, and the DEF tank is accessible from the ground level to prevent climbing onto the machine with heavy jugs.
LED Work Light Package: To support 24/7 operations, the Gen-11 comes standard with an ultra-bright LED package (including lights on the boom, cab, and both sides of the upper structure), providing daylight-level visibility during night shifts.
