Core Features & Technology

  • Automatic Dual-Path 6WD: The 672GP features a sophisticated hydrostatic front-wheel-drive system. It automatically increases tractive effort and provides front-end control, allowing the grader to carry heavier loads through corners or work on steep slopes without the front end sliding out.

  • SmartGrade™ (Integrated 3D Control): A major innovation for this era, SmartGrade is an industry-first mastless 3D grade control system. By integrating sensors into the hydraulics and the frame, the machine stays on grade without external masts or cables that are prone to damage or theft.

  • Automation Suite: This suite significantly reduces operator workload with features like:

    • Auto-Pass: Automatically lowers the blade to a set elevation and activates grade control at the start of a pass.

    • Auto-Articulation: Synchronizes front steering and rear articulation so the tandems follow the front tire tracks perfectly.

    • Auto-Shift PLUS: Allows the operator to control the machine using only the throttle and brake, virtually eliminating the need for the inching pedal.

  • Premium Circle with Slip Clutch: The circle features a fully sealed bearing and pinion design that reduces maintenance (no shimming required) and provides 40% more torque and 15% more speed than traditional designs.

  • PowerTech™ 9.0L Engine: Delivering up to 255 hp, the engine utilizes variable horsepower (VHP) to optimize power and torque in every gear, ensuring maximum blade pull without excessive tire spin.

Operator Comfort & Maintenance

  • Grade Pro (GP) Controls: The GP model replaces the traditional “antler rack” of levers with armrest-mounted dual joysticks or fingertip controls. These utilize proportional roller switches for articulation and circle rotation, drastically reducing wrist and arm fatigue.

  • Unmatched Visibility: The cab is designed with large floor-to-ceiling windows and a streamlined saddle design, providing a clear line of sight to the blade’s heel and toe, as well as the front tires and obstacles.

  • Swing-Out Cooling Fan: Like its loader counterparts, the 672GP features a variable-speed, hydraulically driven fan that can be reversed to clear debris. The entire cooling package is non-stacked, allowing for quick, ground-level cleaning.

  • Ground-Level Service Points: All daily checkpoints, including fuel and DEF fill, are grouped on the left side for easy access. Periodic maintenance filters (oil, fuel, hydraulic) are centralized on the right side behind a single large door.

  • Machine Presets: Operators can save specific machine configurations (blade angle, lights, articulation, etc.) and activate them with the press of a single button—ideal for transitioning quickly from working to roading mode.
